A key factor in designing WAVES is its potential for synergy with existing and upcoming facilities.
In particular, key connections are with the ESO Public Surveys KiDS and VIKING, upon which the input catalogue will be based, as well as with GALEX, WISE, Herschel, and further future complementary datasets from Euclid, LSST, SKA-mid, ASKAP, JWST and eROSITA.
